George Clement

In affectionate remembrance of George Clement who died December 20th, 1886, in the 80th year of his age. Also, Mary Clement wife of the above who died September 25th, 1895, aged 85 years.

In the 1851 Census it is listed that George and Mary were living in New Drove, Great Raveley. George is listed as a shoemaker. With them were their children: Hannah (14) and Georgina (5).

The 1861 Census shows them still in Great Raveley, this time with a daughter named Elizabeth (8).

In 1871 they were still living in Great Raveley, this time alone with all of their children having left home.
